Performance of PVM Implementation

• Reimplementation not quite done...
  (not simply porting PVM!)
• No daemon processes
• Buffer management is simplified, but overhead is still high
• Time is ~30 usec + data transmit time
• Group operations take about the same time as PE-to-PE send
